RxDino LLC was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio to develop advanced corticosteroid formulations, including an advanced hydrocortisone formulation for over-the-counter use, ZCort.

ZCort was designed to combat a wide variety of skin irritations, including eczema, psoriasis, poison ivy, patchy redness, irritation, inflammation, seborrheic dermatitis, anogenital itch, insect bites and allergic reaction of the skin.

The evolution of the technology behind the patent is unique and it happened because of the special interest, capability, and passion of RxDino, and a research deep focus on human corticosteroids.

ZCort is enriched with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) along with vitamin E and several botanicals — all used to enhance hydrocortisone’s effectiveness and to prevent thinning of the skin caused by hydrocortisone.

Since the patent was awarded, multiple clinical trials have been completed. The most recent was a double-blind two week trial in chronic eczema, in which ZCort outperformed the market leading hydrocortisone.

Furthermore, in a 100-person, 8-week irritation and sensitization study, including 50 individuals with self-reported sensitive skin, no reactions were observed or reported, a rare perfect score.
